Change your location even when a store is closed
June 15, 2026
Ordering by text
- If your store is closed, you can now switch to another location right away. Text location, store, or change location and we’ll show your current store and the other spots to pick from.
- Previously a closed store just kept replying with the closed message — now changing location actually works.
Smoother text ordering at multi-location cafés
June 12, 2026
Ordering by text
- When you finish your order at a café with more than one location, we’ll confirm which spot you’re ordering from (“Ordering from {store}? Reply YES”) and then show your total — no more looping back to “what would you like to order?”
- If your store is closed, you get the closed message right away — not after you’ve already added drinks.
- Texting change location now updates your saved store on your account page too.
Square text orders show your total

- Superseded — standard flow restored.
When your card is declined
June 12, 2026
Ordering by text
- If your saved card is declined at checkout, the reply now tells you to update payment at account.baristabot.app — instead of a vague payment error.
Sign up by text, then order
June 12, 2026
Getting started
- Text anything to order for the first time and you’ll get a sign-up link — finish name, payment, and terms on the web.
- After signup you’ll get the successfully subscribed confirmation text and can order right away.
- Saved shortcuts (emoji or word) work reliably after your first order — no surprise “Reply HI” message.
Cleaner texts from the bar
- Milk choice, order confirmation, and your cap is ready messages no longer include the extra footer line.
Account portal & pop-up texting
June 11, 2026
Your account
- Delete shortcuts — tap Modify, then Delete (with confirmation) when a saved order no longer fits.
- Stores tab — see whether each location is open or closed today, tap Hours for the weekly schedule (or pop-up dates), and open directions in Maps.
- Payment — clearer breakdown of which stores use which card on file; add another card is now a compact text link.
Ordering by text (ALL CAPS & custom menus)
- Whole milk replies (whole, whole milk) now advance the order even when the shop’s Dialogflow menu row isn’t fully mapped — we match your milk choice on the live Ops.Menu.
- After you order a cap, the emoji shortcut prompt only listens for 2 minutes; text cap again anytime after that to start a fresh order.
- Saving a post-order shortcut no longer gets stuck behind the first-time opt-in message.
Email sign-in
June 2026
Signing in
- Sign in at account.baristabot.app with a one-time code sent to your email — quick and reliable.
- Just finished signing up? A new Go to my account button takes you straight to your dashboard.
Smoother texting & store hours
June 2026
Ordering by text
- The “successfully subscribed” welcome now sends once, when you opt in. Say hi any time after and the bot goes straight to your order instead of repeating the welcome.
- Shops now keep open hours. If a location is closed when you text, you’ll get a quick heads-up instead of being walked into an order.
- Replies now tell you which store you’re ordering from, so it’s always clear where your drink is headed.
SMS ordering & sign-up
Late May 2026
Ordering by text
- After you opt in, the welcome text now ends with Text your ☕️ order to begin!
- At brands with multiple locations, text location or change location to see where you’re ordering and pick another store by number.
- Pop-up locations with a custom menu (like ALL CAPS) walk you through cappuccino only, oat or whole milk, then confirm payment before the bar gets your ticket.
- When your drink is ready, you’ll get a text from the shop (e.g. YO! YOUR CAP IS READY.).
Sign-up & payment
- Sign-up from an SMS link can ask you to pick a store when the brand has more than one location.
- Square cafés and mobile-cart brands use the right card flow — save payment once for the location you’re ordering from.
- Fixes so you aren’t sent back to login right after saving your card, and so WhatsApp sign-ups work with Stripe.

May 2026
Login & verification
- One-time code sign-in at account.baristabot.app is more reliable — including fixes when verifying or resending your email code.
- Login codes can be delivered through SendGrid when that path is configured for your brand.
Login email design
- OTP emails match the account portal look — card layout, typography, and Barista Bot branding.
